Description: This ornately frilled and gilded miniature portrait hangs from a genteelly faded oyster silk ribbon. The elegantly crackled porcelain itself is rather domed, leading one to the irresistible supposition that it may once have formed the side of a commemorative teapot. The devastatingly adorned and curled profile of the Duchesse de Chagrin - showing the celebrated shy chin and noble nose of the House of Rouilletemps - stares off into the middle distance, or possibly the wearer's cleavage depending on positioning.
Appraise: It is made of ceramic and appears to be a piece of jewellery.
Weight: 10 g
