Description: Exuberant in gold, only cloisonne can achieve this brilliant effect. Each colour is separated by the metal wire, repeatedly filled in with enamel and then fired, ensuring that the making of cloisonne is a painstaking process. This particular vase has been filled with blues, greens, warm golds and browns and the end effect is a pattern of lotus flowers, blossoms and leaves broken up by a wreath of gold rings.
