Spellchecker & Mindspace Calculator v3.11, updated January 14th, 2024
Spellchecker

Quow's Spellchecker & Mindspace plugin will firstly and simply tell you the total amount of mindspace your remembered spells are using, and how much mindspace you have free, whenever you type "spells" or "spells uncategorised".

It also contains all spellcheck data for every wizard and witch spell to instantly look up a full breakdown of every method used and every success-bonus-range of those methods, and will tell you what your own chances are of succeeding at every stage. For wizards, you can also lookup any magical skill and see all spells that use that method, and get suggestions for spells that might help you TM that skill. You can also find a ranked list of Orders for a spell or a whole list of spells to find which Order has the most or the least primaries for the given set of spells.

After installing, type "help mindspace" for a list of all the features and commands, and how to use them. It will also list the book, and location of that book, each wizard spell is found in.

Version History:
v3.11:
* Added support for "alternate/multiple nicknames" of spells, with a few user-requested additions for spell nicknames that have alternate words, for example you can now do "mindspace tea1", "boa1", "dog1", "kid1" for people who prefer to use those nicknames instead of the standard, if you want to avoid nicknames that replace real things in the mud (feather boas, cup of tea, dogs, kids, etc.)

v3.10:
* The new "mindspace stats" command to list spellcast stats, now gives information on thaums generated for each spell, and a breakdown/summary of your casts per category of spell with total thaums created per category of spell. If anyone has requests for other stats related to spells, please message Quow with ideas!
* You can now do "mindspace stats <altname>" to list only the spellcast stats for a specific alt, if you have a lot of alts with spells and the above command was too spammy!
* You can now reset all the recorded spells cast by your current alt with the command "mindspace statreset" - which will ask for a confirmation first, and after confirming your currently recorded alt spell stats will be set back to no casts of anything.
* Addition of "mindspace alts" command, which will list any characters the mindspace plugin has seen/registered information on. With the latest CowBar, the mindspace plugin will automatically handle your alt-switches - but you might want to manually switch to an alt with "mindspace su <altname>" if you want to check the spells/do a spellcheck/reset the stats of an alt WITHOUT actually su'ing to it mud-side, but be sure to "mindspace su" back to your current character again after, or any spellcasts etc. will now be getting added to the wrong character!
* If you are on the latest CowBar (v4.92+), the mindspace plugin can now try to check your Order (if you are a wizzard!), and mark methods in spellcheck output that are a primary for your current character. (note, if your primaries are NOT being correctly marked with a "*P*" at the end of each method line, please use the new "mindspace debug" command and send Quow the output - how the MUD reports your guild and spec needs to be supported for each Order etc., future updates will hopefully cover all specs and possibly witches, to highlight primary methods)
* New "mindspace primaries" command, will show you what order, and primaries, the mindspace plugin thinks your currently logged in character has, and tell you any recorded bonuses for the primaries, along with clickable links on the methods to lookup all spells using that method (the same as doing a "mindspace <method name>" command).

v3.02:
* The plugin will now watch for, and count, any lines of you starting to cast a spell ("You prepare to cast...") - giving you access to per-alt, per-spell stats of total casts, date first seen you cast, and date last seen you cast.
* New command "mindspace stats" will give a full breakdown of all of these stats per-alt and per-spell.
* When not in screenreader mode, looking up an individual spell's spellcheck, eg with "mindspace jpct", will also now show you the total casts, and dates of first and last cast, of that spell for your current alt.

v3.01:
* Using the "mindspace orders" command without any spell-list, will list all the Orders known by the plugin and their brief theme/concept. The Order names are clickable, which does the same as the below new command.
* New command "mindspace order <# or order name>" will give some details and spell-related stats on the chosen order - including a list of their primaries, and then the plugin will calculate which spells that Order uniquely has the top-most primary counts for (eg - spells that Order is "better than the others" for) ordered by average-method-difficulty (hardest to easiest), followed by a list of spells that the Order is joint-top at with at least one other Order (so spells that have no single top Order).
* You can still use "mindspace orders <comma-separated list of spells>" for example "mindspace orders tpa, pfg, dkdd, jhsd, mvs, ffm" for a ranked list of Orders from most primaries to least primaries for all given spells combined.

v3.00:
* The mindspace plugin can now read your currently logged in character name if you have the latest CowBar 4.91+ version installed, allowing the mindspace plugin to store your skills and now even your known spells (see below) on a per-alt basis.
* Known spells are now stored whenever you send the "spells" or "spells uncategorised" commands to the MUD. The plugin compares the list of spells to the last known spells the plugin saw your current character have, and will report a summary of any changes (additions and losses) to your spells at the end of the spell list, to quickly show you what spells you might have lost (for example, after a death), or any newly remembered spells.
* "mindspace sorted" command has been improved and now allows witches to filter a category (eg "mindspace sorted witch def"), and an optional max-mindspace filter for either, for example "mindspace sorted 15", "mindspace sorted misc 20", "mindspace sorted witch def 10" and so on.
* The "mindspace spells" command to list all spells, like the newly updated "mindspace sorted" command above, can now also be given optional parameters such as "witch", a category (off, def, misc), and then finally an optional max mindspace value, for example "mindspace spells 10" will limit the spell list to all spells of 10 and lower mindspace, for finding spells you can squeeze in more easily, or "mindspace spells off 20" for offensive spells at a maximum of 20. This list is sorted by smallest to largest, instead of the easiest to most difficult, and spells currently in your logged-in alt's head will be colour-highlighted.
* Addition of "mindspace version" command to quickly see current mindspace version, and shows the date your current mindspace plugin version was last published by me.

v2.20:
* The method-checking (eg "mindspace water"), now supports multiple comma-separated methods, to filter spells that use all methods listed together. The TM-checking calculations (to find the "closest to 50-50") are checked on every method you listed, and use whichever is the closest separately for each spell. For example, "mindspace healing, animating" will find spells that use both healing and animating, sorted by the closest to 50-50 difficulty either method is (whichever is closest) for each spell that uses both methods.
- There is no limit on how many methods you include, so for instance "mindspace air, evoking, summoning" would return any spell that needs all three of those methods (which is only FTF), or "mindspace earth, air, fire, water" would list any spell needing all four elements (which would be NES, PTQWB, and JHSD).
* Updating your skills with "mindspace" or "mindspace skills" now always forces a verbose stats, so there won't be any issues with people who have "brief score" set when the plugin tries to gather your raw and modified stats.

v2.11:
* Witches can now append the word "witch" to method checks, to search for witch spells using a method, for example "mindspace fire witch" or "mindspace charming witch".

v2.1:
* The "mindspace sorted" command, for listing all spells ordered by their average method difficulty, has been expanded and you can now filter wizzard spells by spell type. You can use either: "mindspace sorted" for all, "mindspace witch" for witch spells, as before, but now you can do "mindspace sorted def", "mindspace sorted off", or "mindspace sorted misc", for wizzard spells in those categories. (witch spells do not have this filtering - there aren't too many of them to need filters!)
* Incorrect reference to old "mindspace" command removed and updated with "mindspace skills".

v2.0:
* Added two new commands, "mindspace sorted", and "mindspace sorted witch".
* "mindspace sorted" will list all wizzard spells, ordered by their average method difficulty (average of the top spellcheck of each method), from easiest to hardest, with clickable links to each spell, info on the method average, a list of the methods involved, and a colour coding on the average-difficulty value to highlight any spells you likely can do easily (silver), may have some difficulty with (orange), or will likely fail at least one method of (red).
* "mindspace sorted witch" does the same thing, but with known witch spells.
* All spells now also have a "Components" line, listing the component-usage of the spell, when looking up specific spells (below the classification line, above the spell book location line).
* Tidied up some "mindspace help" output.
* Fixed some issues with the plugin thinking it needs to see your "score stats" output every install.

v1.92:
* WPL spellcheck data slightly more accurate/exact.

v1.91:
* Added new Wurphle's Packed Lunch, WPL, spell, with full data.

v1.90:
* New screenreader mode "mindspace screenreader" which simplifies the output of spellcheck commands for screenreader users.
* New command "mindspace book" (no plural) will show all the spells in the book of the last spell you looked up (eg type "mindspace tpa" then "mindspace book" for all spells in the same book as TPA)
* Users of the latest CowBar (v4.3+) that set screenreader mode on in the CowBar (with "minimap screenreader") will have this spellcheck plugin automatically set to screenreader mode, too.
* "mindspace skills" will now input your mindspace (which is your RAW ma.sp.sp bonus) AND all your methods (which is your current/modified bonuses) in a single command.
* The on-screen output from performing "mindspace skills" is now streamlined with much hidden from the user to avoid as much screen-spam.
* Now supports/parses skills if you have set "options output skills=list" instead of branched, without issue.
* Various formatting tweaks to some outputs.
* CTS mindspace value fixed (it is 5 mindspace in size).
* Removed forced-black backgrounds on various outputs.

v1.80:
* New command "mindspace books" lists all spellbooks, with clickable links to list all spells found in that book.
* List all spells from a specific UU Library spellbook with "mindspace book <x>" where x is a number matching the full UU library map book numbers.
* Clicking on the spellbook name from the spell details/spellcheck screen now lists all other spells found in that book.
* Listing all spells with "mindspace spells" gives clickable links for each spell to show the full details of that spell.
* Listing TM spells with "mindspace <method>" (eg "mindspace healing") gives clickable links for each spell.

v1.70:
* New "mindspace spells" command added to output a list of all wizzard spells, with their acronym, name, mindspace and GP.

v1.60:
* New "mindspace orders <list of spells>" command added to get a ranked list of all primary Orders and see which have the most or least primaries for a given set of spells.

v1.53:
* CFD spell GP usage fixed to 25 (not 15).

v1.52:
* UU Library book locations given when looking up a spell now also give the book number as related to the full UU Library map in the CowBar plugin.

v1.51:
* BEP mindspace is actually 50, not 45.

v1.5:
* FNP spellcheck fixed, slightly inaccurate abjuring check values.
* TPA spellcheck both fixed, missing final method check.
* SS2 spellcheck data fixed, missing final method check.

v1.41:
* FNP spell fixed - previously had the 6th stage channeling method missing from the spellcheck.

v1.4:
* Looking up all spells that use a method (eg "mindspace water") now sorts the order of the spells from easiest to hardest compared to your bonus in that method.

v1.3:
* Looking up a spell now also lists the library and book location of that spell.
* Can now look up a spell by it's full name as well as by acronym.
* Various formatting and text colour changes.

v1.2:
* Plugin now stores your recorded bonuses from "mindspace skills" between sessions.

v1.1:
* Addition of all witch spells with focus-tea results.

v1.00:
* Initial Release of full Spellchecker.
