Description: The light catches and dances like flames in the folds of this ruby silk veil, which conceals the wearer's features from the bridge of the nose downwards. It is bound about with slender gold silk braiding, which tapers off into two tiny gold clasps that secure it in the wearer's hair. Small gold coins and bells dangle from the bottom edge, to weight the thin fabric and to guard against the veil being blown aside by an errant breeze.
